NSW: Paddington: Jimmy’s Falafel

Date visited: 28 April 2026: Good atmosphere, food and friendly service. Bad wine glasses.

RED PEPPER DIP: Almonds, pomegranate molasses, Aleppo pepper (highly recommended)

KIBBE NAYEH: Raw beef, bulgur, onion, seven spice, toum. (the large raw onion didn’t match the food)

LEBANESE BREAD

FALAFEL: Tahini, parsley

LAMB CUTLETS: “green goodness, tahini, chilli”. (opinions were divided on this)

MARKET FISH (Snapper): wrapped in cine leaves, eggplant, green harissa

BAKLAVA: Pistachio walnut, stretch middle eastern ice cream

COFFEE-SOAKED DATES Coconut sorbet (very good)

TURKISH COFFEE

The wine glasses!

When you are paying these prices for wine, one expects a glass that you can smell the wine from! When I asked for better wine glasses, the waitress said they had no other glasses. On leaving the manager said to ask him next time.
