I Hate to Cook Any Berry Compote

from I Hate to Cook by Dolly Campbell (I believe this was a pseudonym for Jill Dupleix. Dolly Campbell being the name of Jill’s grandmother).

This is a fun book to read.

Basically blackberries quickly cooked in a sugar syrup with a little lemon juice.

I served it with Bulla Choc Chip Ice Cream which was a great match.
