I couldn’t source masa harina so I substituted ‘Pan’ pre-cooked white corn meal enriched. The difference apparently is that masa harina has been soaked in lime water in a process called nixtamalization.
I had bought a tortilla press at Vinnies a few weeks ago and was eager to try it out. (Apparently they are not so good with wheat flour, but I have not tried this).
First attempt at Tortillas. Basically equally weight flour and water and a pinch of salt.
Cooked on the non stick crepe pan. The result was excellent!
