Product Review
Some years ago this pasta (along with Barilla Wholewheat #5, and Coles Organic Wholemeal Spaghetti) achieved a perfect score of 100% from Choice Magazine.

So I added it to my “best product “shopping list, and finally found it a few weeks ago at HFM. It was perhaps the most expensive packet pasta I have bought.
I served it with a basic pasta sauce of Italian tomatoes, garlic, oregano, basil, pepper and chillies and parmigiano reggiano cheese.

I could not discern any noticeable taste difference between other whole-wheat packet pastas. It was good.
So I read the Choice article. Turns out there were no noticeable taste differences between the pastas using the same grains. The ratings where based on nutrition and performance (ie whether the labelled cook time results in perfectly ‘al dente’ pasta.) That it did.
However since I always check the al dente status of the pasta as it cooks, and mostly it is al dente before the recommended cooking time, I don’t need to choose a pasta based on performance and pay the premium price!
