from Assemble: Sensational Food Made Simple by Annabel Langbein
I was looking for something to do with left over chicken , and did not want to go to too much effort. This was one of the options from eatyourbooks.com
That’s what this book from Annabel is all about, as the title says, Assembly.
Take a jar of pasta sauce…. (Whilst I normally just use a can or organic tomatoes, some onion, garlic, and basil as my go to pasta sauce, I thought I would follow the recipe and choose an off the shelf pasta sauce. I choose this Aurelio, Organic Primavera, which was good if you have to choose a pre made sauce).
Add store bought roasted capsicums
Then chilli flakes, black olives, capers, basil
Cooked Chicken or can tuna
Served on your pasta of choice. I choose Barilla Spaghettoni # 7 for no other reason, then I wanted to try it. (Spaghettini #3 is thiner than regular Spaghetti #5, and Spaghettoni #7 is thicker.)
Simple and tasty, however I don’t think the chicken added anything to the dish.
